Adding Video

Video has been available over the Web since the mid-1990s. Although the size, quality, and speed of Web video have improved, it still lags far behind video over satellite or cable TV. But the Web does offer certain advantages for delivery that are not available in other media. Most obvious: You do not have to own a TV station to broadcast (Figure 27.22).

Figure 27.22. The video plays back in the window. In this example, the controls have been removed. This setup looks cleaner, but it prevents the visitor from changing the sound or backing the movie up to watch it again.
