Scrolling a Web Page

Normally, you think of scrolling the Web page as something that the visitor does by using the built-in scroll bars on the right or bottom side of the window or frame. You have seen how you can use JavaScript to determine the scroll position of a Web page (see "Finding the Page's Scroll Position" in Chapter 12). You can also force the page to scroll either horizontally or vertically by using a simple JavaScript trick (Code 13.5 and Figures 13.7 and 13.8).
