Chapter 20. User Interface > key-equivalent Property

20.10. key-equivalent Property

The key-equivalent property is designed to be a CSS equivalent to the accesskey attribute found on certain HTML 4.0 tags. This attribute, which is available to the <input> and <anchor> tags, allows the Web author to assign a specific keyboard key value so that when that key is pressed by the user, that particular link or input on a form is selected, and can then be used. The key-equivalent property goes further than that, giving the Web author the ability to specify which key or key combination triggers a particular event on a Web page.
