6.5. Time Units

Some Aural Cascading Style Sheet (ACSS) properties allow the Web author to set the time duration for a sound. There are two available time units: ms (milliseconds) and s (seconds). To use them, all you have to do is put an integer number in front of them within a valid property. The following code snippet shows how this could work:

<body style="speak:normal">
Some spoken text.
<p style="pause-before:50ms">A slight pause.</p>
<p style="pause-before:2s">A longer pause.</p>
</body>
