3.5. Internet Explorer 6.0

In terms of CSS, Internet Explorer 6.0 only included a limited number of improvements over the previous 5.5 version for Windows. With only some minor exceptions, all of the CSS1 properties are supported, and there is much improved — though not full — CSS2 compliance. On the CSS1 front, these improvements now include support for the min-height and word-spacing properties, as well as the pre value for the white-space property. The Windows version of this browser also carries over the DTD-switch first implemented in the Macintosh version of Internet Explorer 5.5 (see that section for more detail on this). When the !doctype element is set to a strict value, it is important to note that the width and height properties will conform to the way they are intended to work as per the CSS1 specification
