Chapter 12. Box Properties > border-break Property

12.18. border-break Property

border-break is another property proposed under the CSS3 border module, and it is designed to tell the browser how to (or not to) break a border when the block displaying the border is spread out over more than one page.

It can take a border-style or border-image as its value, or the value none. none is the default, and it does not add any padding or border to a block's border when it is spread across a page break. If a border-style or border-image is used instead, at the end of the first page and at the beginning of the second it is used to close off the box between the two pages. You can see the effects of both types of values illustrated in Figure 12-20.
