What's Next

Now that you've toured the ColdFusion application development environment, you're ready to begin writing ColdFusion templates. Templates are written in the ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML), a tag-based language with nearly 100 commands and several hundred built-in functions. As with any new computing language, though, you'll start with the basics. The next chapter shows you how to set up ColdFusion variables with the CFML <cfset> tag and also introduces you to the many variable scopes available in the ColdFusion environment.
