Integrating with Visual Basic

One of the easiest and most interesting places to use COM objects is within applications created with Microsoft's Visual Basic development environment. Even though more and more business applications are being created with Web-based interfaces on company intranets, there are many times when a native Windows application makes more sense than a Web interface based on HTML forms and JavaScript. By providing support for WDDX via COM, Allaire has opened the possibility of creating native Windows executables that communicate with WDDX-based Web pages over the Internet.
