Ben Forta is Allaire Corporation's product evangelist for the ColdFusion product line. Ben has over 15 years of experience in the computer industry and spent 6 years as part of the development team responsible for creating OnTime, one of the most successful calendar and group-scheduling products, with over one million users worldwide. Ben is the author of the popular The ColdFusion 4.0 Web Application Construction Kit (now in its third edition) and the more recent Advanced ColdFusion 4.0 Application Development (both published by Que). He coauthored the official Allaire ColdFusion training courses, writes a regular column on ColdFusion development, and now spends a considerable amount of time lecturing and speaking on ColdFusion and Internet application development worldwide. Nate Weiss is the technical director at International Commerce Exchange Systems (ICES), a direct-marketing service for buyers and sellers. Michael Dinowitz is head of House of Fusion, a consulting firm specializing in ColdFusion-, dynamic-, and database-driven applications. Ashley King is a software engineer at Allaire Corporation and is the former president and founder of Aspx Interactive Media (CreativeAspect, Inc.), where he developed the MrPost! Web Messaging Server for ColdFusion. Ashley began his fateful foray into the programming world 13 years ago when he developed games and graphics software for Timex Sinclair 1000 and Commodore VIC-20 computers. He continued his programming career at BDM Corporation and as a contractor. Ashley later worked as a graphic artist, radio DJ, and touring musician, releasing a CD and founding one of the first Web-based music stores with his consulting company. Ashley now lives in Lexington, Massachusetts, after wandering from his native Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gerry Libertelli has been the Managing Director of G. Triad Development Corporation since December of 1994. He is the driving force behind G. Triad's success in the network engineering and applications development marketplace. Mr. Libertelli was formerly the technical director at Smart Money Interactive, where he was responsible for all engineering and technical issues involving the production rollout of Smart Money Interactive, the World Wide Web site for Smart Money magazine. Prior to Smart Money, Gerry was a project manager at Charles Schwab and Company. He shared responsibility for several in-house projects building Schwab's electronic investment products, including Streetsmart (MS Windows) and Equalizer (DOS) software and the Telebroker system. Mr. Libertelli has held decision-making positions in systems maintenance and support, field marketing of interactive services, telecom management, and user interface testing for several corporations. Jonathan Bellack has been developing Web sites on UNIX and Windows NT systems since 1994. He is currently the technical director at SmartMoney.com. He has developed Internet products as a consultant for publishing companies including Times Mirror Magazines and Consumers Union (the publishers of Consumer Reports Magazine). He also spent over a year at Wolff New Media, creators of the ill-fated NetBooks and Your Personal Net. Jonathan has a degree from Yale University.
