Using Views to Simplify and Reuse Your Queries

Many database systems support views. A view is a SELECT statement that is given a name and stored as a permanent part of your database, just as your tables are a permanent part of your database. Once a view has been created, it can be thought of as a virtual table that can be used in most of the same ways a normal table can.
