Other Web Service Options with ColdFusion

Although using CFCs and CFINVOKE is the easiest way of working with web services through ColdFusion, it’s not the only way. You could also just as easily use CFHTTP to POST a SOAP message to a web service, although because CFHTTP does not let you send customer headers along with your post operation, you would be limited. With CFOBJECT and Java, though, you can perform a whole host of operations that you cannot do with ColdFusion web services by directly calling other web service products such as AXIS.
