Chapter 22. Customizing Dreamweaver for ... > Using and Creating Keyboard Shortcut...

Using and Creating Keyboard Shortcuts

Although Dreamweaver is a visual development environment designed for use with both the mouse and the keyboard, you can use the keyboard for many tasks that normally require the mouse. For example, you can press the keyboard combination Ctrl+R (Command+R on Macintosh) and the Live Data View appears. If you press the keyboard combination Ctrl+F12 (Command+F12 on Macintosh), the current page is displayed in a web browser for debugging purposes.

You can also customize Dreaweaver’s keyboard shortcuts using the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box. You open the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box by selecting Edit, Keyboard Shortcuts. When the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box appears, as shown in Figure 22.18, you see a collection of menus, display windows, text boxes, and buttons.
