Chapter 3. The Fusebox Framework > Notes on the Core File

Notes on the Core File

In this section, we will discuss some general background about the core and its purpose before we jump into the code inside the core. Throughout this section—and in fact, throughout the course of this book—our examples and discussions use the core file for ColdFusion 5 on the Windows platform: fbx_fusebox30_CF50.cfm. At times, we will make a reference to how other core files accomplish tasks, but this is the exception rather than the rule.

It is important to note that we are documenting the current state of the Fusebox core files. We are not trying to guess where Fusebox officially will be in six months or a year. Despite this caveat, the current status of Fusebox is stable, and the basic principles documented here are unlikely to change.
