Chapter 6. Exit Fuseactions > Filling the Toolbox

Filling the Toolbox

We’ve seen in this chapter that exit fuseactions (XFAs) are a tool for creating better application structure. The use of variables to contain fuseaction values increases modularity, maintainability, and job focus when building Fusebox applications.

XFAs are a benefit to both the architect and the fusecoder, providing better self-documenting features, better information distribution for application design and planning, and streamlined coding. The use of XFAs in place of hard-coded fuseactions makes fuses and circuits more portable, increasing the ability to reuse code.
