Security and Fusebox

Some struggling developers discover Fusebox and expect it to do more than it does. Fusebox is hard to define; it is a set of core files, it is a specification, and it is a methodology. Arguably, Fusebox is many things to many people. One thing that Fusebox does not address, however, is application security.

Many solutions that are incorrectly compared to Fusebox contain a built-in security system. Spectra utilizes an elaborate roles-based system to manage access to content objects. But Spectra’s usefulness proved very slim. Few companies found that their business model fit into what Spectra offered.
