Synopsis

                  REReplace(string, regex, substring [, scope])

The default scope is One. REReplace( ) performs a case-sensitive search. Here’s an example that demonstrates the use of this function:

<cfset OriginalString="T8h3i53s 1i2s3 8a3 t3e2s9t.">
<cfset NewString = REReplace(OriginalString, "[[:digit:]]", "", "ALL")>

<cfoutput>
Original String:  #OriginalString#<br>
New String:  #NewString#
