Getting Help

Never fear—help is always near in Dreamweaver. More often than not, when you need additional information about a panel or dialog, Dreamweaver's help system will take you right to the information you want automatically. You can gather context-sensitive help in the following ways:

  • Select Help > Using Dreamweaver or press F1 (Figure 7.1).

Figure 7.1. The Using Dreamweaver help system is a fast and simple way to obtain the answers you seek. You can adjust the width of the two areas by clicking and dragging the bar between them.

  • Choose Help from the Options menu or context menu.

  • Select the Help button if it's available in the current dialog box.

  • You can access assistance with code-specific issues from the Reference panel (see “The Reference Panel” section later in this chapter) by choosing Help > Reference or pressing the Shift-F1 keyboard shortcut.
