Fusebox

First developed in 1998, Fusebox is the granddaddy of all ColdFusion development methodologies. Steve Nelson and Gabe Roffman are responsible for creating the original Fusebox specification, and Joshua Cyr was perhaps the first person to employ the methodology on a real application. Many ColdFusion developers have subsequently contributed to and popularized it.

Partly because of its longevity, but mostly because of its practicality, Fusebox is perhaps the most widely used ColdFusion development methodology. (It's worth noting that it isn't specific to ColdFusion per se. It can be applied—and has been developed—for other development environments.)
