The Crop tool

Use the Crop tool to cut down your file and remove any extra space that is floating around the main subject area. You can use the tool freehand‐style by selecting it and clicking and dragging a box around the area you would like to keep. You can adjust the box if you need to and then press Enter. The entire document is cut down to the size of the selected area. Any elements that remain outside the box are deleted — completely. Make sure you don't cut off anything unless you mean to. Duplicating the image you're cropping and then working on the copy is a good idea; that way, you'll always have the original to go back to.

A more precise way to use the crop tool is to set dimensions that you want your cropped document to be.
