Integrating Dreamweaver with Fireworks

Given that Macromedia developed both Dreamweaver and Fireworks, you might expect some nifty integration features between the two applications, and you'd be correct.

You can set Dreamweaver to use Fireworks as the default external image editor, insert an exported Fireworks image in such a way that Dreamweaver “knows” about the original Fireworks file or files, and launch the full Fireworks program for serious image editing. Perhaps most usefully, you can now perform a number of common image editing functions without having to load Fireworks in its entirety. Let's look at each of these capabilities.
