Chapter 4. Creating Your First Page > Saving, Testing, and Validating

Saving, Testing, and Validating

As you’re working on a new page, it’s important to go through a three-step process to make sure the page is saved properly, works well in a Web browser, and conforms to HTML standards.

Saving Your Page

If you’re working from an HTML template, you’ve probably saved your page with a meaningful name because that’s recommended immediately after you load the template.html document. (If not, you may have accidentally added text and markup to your template.html document.) If you don’t have your HTML document saved with a meaningful name, select File, Save As to save the file.
