The <base> Element

You’ve already seen that relative URLs take some of the effort out of creating hyperlinks. But, as noted, relative URLs are always “relative” to the directory where the current HTML document is stored. But what if you’d like some other location to be the URL that gets added to your relative URL to make up the entire address? You can do that with the <base> element.
