Table Palette

The Table Palette facilitates arranging data within your table, and helps you control the look and size of your table and its cells. The palette itself is broken down into two distinct parts: Select controls the cell content and provides a zippy way to select specific cells, rows, and columns, while Style controls cosmetic changes.

Setting Table Styles

Styles are built-in cosmetic schemes that you can apply to your tables, as an alternative to going through an existing table and applying each cosmetic attribute one at a time. The Styles mode makes it easy to change the color, cell size, and spacing of your tables. There are ten built-in styles to choose from, ranging in mood from Just the Facts to Seventies, plus you can import and export styles or create your own new styles to suit any page you can dream up. Figure 15.10 shows a table being formatted with one of GoLive’s included styles, and Figure 15.11 illustrates how your own customized attributes can be saved as a new style for future reuse.
