Linking to Special Windows

One cool trick that you see a lot these days involves browser windows that appear with no menu bars, scroll bars, or other stuff. This type of window can mimic an application screen, an alert box, or other interface element. You see these a lot these days in pop-up ads and other annoying things.

But there are other more benign uses for these windows. Sometimes you may want a form to pop up over the browser window, or a special alert. These specially modified windows are accomplished using JavaScript. Use the following JavaScript in your document; just substitute page_address.html with your actual link address. Notice the controls for the special window in the script. You can play with these to change the size and appearance of the window.
