Executing Actions Based on the Page’s Events

As mentioned, a JavaScript action always invokes based on a user event. In addition, the process for applying a JavaScript action in GoLive is to start by selecting the object that receives the user event, and specifying the event and action in the Actions palette. What page element would you select to create an action that executed when the page loaded?

To accommodate this, GoLive has created what is referred to as a Head Action. A Head Action is simply JavaScript that executes based on some page event, such as loading or unloading a page. The process for defining such an action is slightly different than the previous example, so take the time to follow through with this next demonstration to learn what differences exist.
