Chapter 30. Streamlining Site Construction > Optimizing and Troubleshooting

Optimizing and Troubleshooting

You have worked with your development team to define the site’s purpose, goals, and audience. You have built the site, designed the page layouts, linked each of the pages, inserted the images, and integrated dynamic content. Now what?

Some designers immediately load the site to a server, cross their fingers, and hope they caught any and all of the mistakes made along the way. Others comb through each of the pages, gather a group of beta testers, and scrutinize the site’s setup. Of course, the latter takes time and resources, perhaps time and resources you do not have to meet the deadline of your site’s launch. Consider using Adobe GoLive’s site management features to cut down on the testing time. GoLive’s built-in site management features allow you to test out the site, check for used and broken links, visualize site colors and font-families, manage files, and more.
