Creating a Marquee

To make your comments boldly public and allow text to scroll on your page, you can make use of a marquee, as implied in Figure 13.3. Although lacking the same glamour or glitter, the marquee attempts to imitate the lighted signage of classic Hollywood, Broadway, and Times Square. Nowadays the scrolling marquee might be considered distracting or tacky in much the same way as the Blink attribute of text tends to annoy, and it should not be used except in rare circumstances. But if this is the kind of flair you want to impart on your page, scroll on.
