Chapter 7. Customizing GoLive > Customizing the Desktop

Customizing the Desktop

Now that you’ve ascertained which palettes you use regularly, in what order and in what combination, designing a palette scheme that’s ideal for you should be a breeze. First, gather those palettes you find indispensable, and close the rest. These are your tools.

To access a palette that is not visible, select the name of the palette from the Window menu, or use the appropriate keyboard shortcut. Items in the Window menu are grouped according to which palettes are normally grouped together in a window (for example, Objects and Color share a window). If you select a palette whose window is already on your desktop, it will approach the forefront and the proper tab will be selected for you. This is particularly helpful when windows overlap.
