Page Margins

As noted earlier, setting a Window Size does not determine the actual size of your page, but Page Margins do influence page appearance directly. By default, your page begins about 6–8 pixels from the top and left edges of a browser, allowing sufficient space for it to be seen clearly without the content getting lost in the browser controls.

While intended to help the appearance of your page, sometimes this built-in space is unnecessary or problematic, and you may wish to eliminate it by setting your page margins to zero. Many pages have graphics that bleed all the way to the edge of the screen, and it’s situations like this that require zero page margins.
