USING VECTOR MEMBERS

Vector members are a powerful feature introduced in Director 7. You can create common lines and shapes that can be scaled, anti-aliased, and modified on-the-fly. These shapes also take up a relatively small amount of file space, making them ideal for Internet delivery.

Vector Shape Editing Window

To create a vector member, choose Insert, Media Element, Vector Shape to bring up the Vector Shape editing window shown in Figure 7.4. You can also choose Window, Vector Shape. Like the Paint window, it includes two toolbars. Most of the tools are on the left, whereas you use the top toolbar to set fills.
