USING SHAPE MEMBERS

There are eight kinds of shape members: two kinds of lines, and filled and unfilled ovals, rectangles, and rounded rectangles. You can create all these shape members with the Tool palette shown in Figure 7.1. If this Tool palette is not already present, choose Window, Tool Palette, and then select the tool and draw on the Stage. This creates a cast member with the shape as well as a sprite that contains the member. After you have a cast member for a shape, you can drag that member from the Cast window to the Stage or Score to reuse it in another sprite. You can even stretch or shrink it differently in different sprites.
