Although graphics are almost always used in every Director movie, sometimes they are more than just a part of it. Sometimes, graphics are the whole point of the movie.

For instance, a slideshow presentation of different images places a set of graphics as the central focus of a movie. Sometimes the purpose of the movie is to display just one image. Often, this image exceeds the screen size, such as in a large map or diagram. In that case, users needs to pan, scroll, or zoom into the image.

Another possibility is a movie that continually changes an image or images, as in a montage. With inks and colors, Director can alter an image easily.
