Chapter 5. SOUND MEMBERS > WAITING FOR SOUNDS AND CUE POINTS

WAITING FOR SOUNDS AND CUE POINTS

You can also make your movie wait for a sound to complete. To do this, use the Tempo channel in the Score. First, place a sound in either Sound channel. Then, double-click the Tempo channel to bring up the Frame Properties: Tempo dialog box. Select the last option, Wait for Cue Point, and then use the two pop-up menus to set its parameters.

First, select the Sound channel that this tempo command should be watching. Then, select the cue point that it should be looking for. Always present here are the {Next} and {End} options. Choose {End} to make the movie wait on that frame until the sound ends.
