Chapter 2. PRESENTATIONS WITH DIRECTOR > NONLINEAR PRESENTATIONS

NONLINEAR PRESENTATIONS

The next step in creating advanced presentations is to give users the capability to navigate throughout the presentation in any direction. The previous presentation only moves forward. What if users want to go back one screen? Or, what if they want to return to the beginning?

Adding Back and Home Buttons

Creating a button that enables the users to move back in the presentation is easy. You saw how to create a button that moved the users forward, which was done with the Go Next Button behavior. There is also a behavior called Go Previous Button. All you need to do is create a new bitmap, add it to the Score, and place the Go Previous Button behavior on it from the Library palette. Figure 2.5 shows the addition of the Go Previous button (shown as a back arrow bitmap).
