Chapter 15. GRAPHIC INTERFACE ELEMENTS > CREATING DISPLAY ROLLOVERS

CREATING DISPLAY ROLLOVERS

Chapter 14, Creating Behaviors,” contained a script that showed a simple rollover behavior. Typically, a rollover is a sprite that changes members when the cursor is “rolled” over it. However, there is another type of rollover as well, one that leaves the rolled-over sprite alone, but instead changes another sprite.

A typical use for this interface element is to present a list of items and then show more information about them in another part of the screen when users roll over it. Figure 15.1 shows a screen that does this. Rolling over the three items on the left brings up three different text members in the sprite to the right.
