Chapter 32. GAMES > CREATING TRIVIA GAMES

CREATING TRIVIA GAMES

Trivia games can be found everywhere. They include popular board games, arcade machines, and even games you can play in bars. The hardest part of making a trivia game is coming up with the questions. The Director movie that asks the questions and keeps track of the score is fairly straightforward.

This example uses a movie script to do most of the work. The result is a game that looks like Figure 32.8. One question is asked at a time, and the user has to click one of four buttons to answer. A timer ticks down, so the longer the user takes to answer, the fewer points are rewarded. If the answer is incorrect, a full 100 points are removed from the timer.
