EMULATING A SHOOTING GALLERY

Yet another common game that is easily done in Director is a shooting gallery. This is meant to emulate the shooting games at carnivals. Objects appear and move on the Stage, and the user tries to “shoot” them.

Figure 32.6 shows a typical setup. Some rectangles represent boxes or some other barrier. Ducks rise from them, and then descend back behind them. The cursor is changed to a crosshair and the user clicks to shoot. If the user clicks on a duck, the shot is recorded.
