USING NUMBER VARIABLES

You learned how Lingo performs simple math functions in the last chapter. However, there are many more ways to work with number variables. Lingo has a full set of commands and functions that work with numbers just as any other programming language does.

Performing Operations

You can add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers and variables. The symbols you use to do this are the +, -, *, and /. The first symbol, the plus sign, is the only one that makes complete sense, because a plus sign is standard notation used for addition.
