CREATING A GEOGRAPHY QUIZ

Although quizzes and tests in school are traditionally done with pencil and paper, with each question taking up a different space on the paper, computer quizzes can be far more interactive. A geography quiz, in fact, can present an interactive map that responds as students roll over it and click.

Figure 27.5 shows such a quiz using a map of the United States. The actual movie is made up of 51 sprites. The large, outlined map overlays the entire thing, and is always visible. Under that are 50 individual bitmap sprites, one for each state.
