Chapter 6. DIGITAL VIDEO > DID YOU KNOW?

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Using QuickTime movies that contain only a MIDI track is an easy way to use MIDI inside Director. You can convert any standard MIDI file to a QuickTime movie with the QuickTime MoviePlayer application. Simply open a MIDI file with the QuickTime MoviePlayer, and it prompts you to convert the MIDI file to QuickTime format.

  • You can use cue points in QuickTime movies in Director in the same way that you can use sound cue points. If a QuickTime movie is present in a frame, you can double-click the Tempo channel and select Wait for Cue Point. In addition to any Sound channels, you can see any QuickTime sprites listed. You can choose a cue point as well as {Next} or {End}.
