  • If you are developing for the Mac, and you have a fast one, you can buy an emulator that runs Windows. Emulators are commonly used by Mac developers to test Windows projectors. The ones that emulate an actual Pentium chip, and then run Microsoft's version of Windows on top of that, are very reliable testing devices because they are usually more typical of a Windows configuration than a randomly selected Windows machine.

  • When you create a new movie, the fontmap.txt file is read in from the Director folder and used as the Font Map. You can change that file so that the default font map settings for any new movie you create also change.
