USING UDP

The Multiuser Server and Xtra generally use TCP/IP connections, like most of the rest of the Internet. A connection like this consists of two steps. First, the message is sent to the destination. Then, the destination sends a message back confirming that the message arrived intact.

Note that you are specifying a different port on your server for UDP addresses. This means that the server will be using two ports. This also means that every time someone connects to your server, they will be using two connections: one for TCP/IP and one for UDP. A server that is set to allow 50 connections will then only be able to handle 25 users.
