DID YOU KNOW?

  • You can set a #min and #max to a range of values in a behavior parameter description, and also can include an #increment property that determines how much one click of the arrow keys next to the slider will change the value.

  • The continuation character was more useful in Director 6 and earlier, when lines in script could only be a finite length before a wrap was forced. A line is considered continued when the last character is a backslash (\).

  • If you have overlapping sprites and you want to make sure your rollover behaviors work only when you roll over a visible portion of the sprite, check to make sure that the rollover is the same as the behavior's sprite number (me.spriteNum) before you set the member in the on mouseEnter handler.

  • When you are determining the wall, floor, and ceiling positions for the bounce behavior, you might want to compute them relative to the Stage size. Use (the stage).sourceRect to get a rectangle with the Stage size. Use (the stage).sourceRect.width and (the stage).sourceRect.height to get the right wall and floor positions.
