Chapter 16. CONTROLLING TEXT > USING RICH TEXT FORMAT

USING RICH TEXT FORMAT

By using the rtf property of a text member, you have access to its rich text format version. This is an entire language unto itself and is now maintained by Microsoft. Here are the results of creating a text member with the word “Testing” in 18-point Times New Roman font, and using the Message window to get the rtf:

put member(1).rtf
-- "{ \ rtf1\ mac\ deff3 { \ fonttbl{ \ f3\ fswiss Geneva;} { \ f20\ froman Times;} } { \ col-
ortbl\ red0\ green0\ blue0;} { \ stylesheet{ \ s0\ fs24 Normal Text;} } \ pard
\ f3\ fs24{ \ pard \ f20\ fs36\ sl360 Testing\ par} } "
