ADDING 3D EFFECTS

Computer screens are flat. By nature, 3D computer graphics are just illusions that trick the users into seeing 3D on what is really only a flat screen. This section discusses how to use Lingo to make those illusions as realistic as possible.

Shrinking Sprites

The shrinking sprite illusion is a special effect that Director and Lingo can easily handle. The basic idea is that real-life objects that are farther away look smaller to the eye. So, if you have two objects that are the same size, but one is twice as far away, the farther one appears to be half as big.
