Chapter 1. ANIMATION WITH DIRECTOR > EXPORTING ANIMATIONS

EXPORTING ANIMATIONS

After you finish creating an animation, you can do three things with it: You can make a projector, you can make a Shockwave movie, or you can export it to a variety of file types. The last section of the next chapter introduces projectors and Shockwave files. Exporting, however, is usually used with animation only.

To export an animation, first check to see which elements in your movie cannot be exported. You cannot export scripts, for instance, because file formats, such as PICS files and Video for Windows, can't do anything with them. Basically, you can export only pictures of the Stage, frame for frame.
