CREATING COMPLEX SCENES

All of Chapter 38, “Using 3D Media,” and the start of this chapter assumed that you had some way to build 3D worlds using external 3D graphics programs. However, these programs are expensive and tend to have steep learning curves, especially if you have never used one before.

Fortunately, you don't need to have a 3D graphics tool to use Director's 3D engine. We have already seen how you can create primitives and particle effects with Lingo. Now, let's try to use those commands to create an entire scene from scratch.
