Chapter 8. Working with Text in Documents > Using HTML Styles and CSS

Using HTML Styles and CSS

A style is a set of formatting attributes that controls the appearance of the text in a document. Using a style, you can change various formatting properties at the same time.

Each style has a unique name. By applying the style name to a selected piece of text, you can change several formatting properties of the selected text at the same time. All the styles and formatting specifications are stored in a page styling template. This template is known as a style sheet.
