Chapter 7. Creating Sites and Documents > Working with Documents

Working with Documents

A document is a Web page of your site. It can contain static elements, such as text, images, and links, as well as dynamic content, such as Flash movies, rollover images, and recordset navigation bars.

A document also contains design elements, such as frames, layers, and tables. Frames partition your Web page into multiple sections. You can display content in each of these sections. Frames enable the user to scroll through particular sections of a page while keeping the other sections static. Layers enable you to have greater control over the positioning of elements in your page. Tables, of course, allow you to present content in a tabular structure.
