Chapter 9. Creating and Managing Images > Using External Image Editors

Using External Image Editors

While working with images, you might want to edit the images in an image editor application. UltraDev enables you to edit images in an external graphic editor while working in UltraDev. After you edit the image and save the file in the external graphic editor, UltraDev automatically updates the image in the document window.

Setting an External Editor

UltraDev enables you to set preference for external graphic editors based on specific file formats. For example, you can set preferences to start Adobe Photoshop when you need to edit GIF images and Paint Shop Pro when you need to edit JPEG images. You can also specify more than one editor for a specific file format.
